“I am trying to really just show a good sense of what's going on. For action, I like to see bodies flying, or reactions from good hits, or people twisting themselves in ways they shouldn't be able to – that kind of stuff. It shows that this is real and the people that are doing it are amazing.”

In 2006, photographer Bob Dunnell went to his first Arch Rival Roller Derby event at the suggestion of a skating friend. He was immediately hooked and that interest quickly blossomed to the status of our primary photographer and the chief documentarian of our adventures on skates.
Sporting the derby name “Mr. McWheely,” Dunnell is known as one of the game’s most dedicated and respected photographers.
