(BALLWIN, MO) The M-80s topped the Smashinistas 180-156 in ARRG local play Saturday night and punched its ticket to April’s league championship game. The M-80s (2-1) next face the Stunt Devils (2-1) in a championship preview on March 12 at Midwest Sport Hockey for ARRG’s final regular season event. Saturday night at Midwest Sport Hockey, ARRG defending league champion the Stunt Devils topped the Smashinistas, 130-127, to claim its second straight win and claim sole possession of first place in the standings. Late game heroics secured the win for the Stunts, who improved to 2-1. The current three-way tie in the ARRG local standings gets broken this Saturday night at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin as the Smashinistas (1-1) tangle with the Stunt Devils (1-1). The event also features GateKeepers Roller Derby action as the Central West Friends meet the Raider of Forest Park. Doors are at 6 pm and the first whistle blows at 6:30 pm. The three local squads of the Arch Rival Rollers Girls added new skaters to their respective rosters via a draft held Thursday night in St. Louis. The Stunt Devils added Sue Bob Fight and Violet Opposition.
