Busy Weekend Ahead For Arch

Arch Rival Roller Derby has a full slate in front of them later this week, where we’ll see the return of an annual fundraiser, the continuation of a partnership with one of the largest local conventions and the addition of new skaters to our local teams.

The docket starts with Thursday’s mid-season draft that will add skaters to the four ARCH local franchises. There are transfers, returning skaters and hard-charging newcomers that will be added to the fold that will be a part of our upcoming doubleheader on Saturday, February 29.

We’ll have a full reveal of our newcomers on our social media outlets Friday morning.

ARCH is also making their third consecutive appearance at the Working Women’s Survival Show, held Friday through Sunday at the St. Charles Convention Center. We’ll have a booth all throughout the weekend and will be appearing on the “Fun, Fit and Feminine” stage multiple times.

We’ll also be giving away free tickets for upcoming games and offering up a “Working Women’s” grand prize for one patron.

Last year’s event drew over 37,000 visitors and that same amount is projected again this year.

Finally, ARCH will be holding their annual Trivia Night on Saturday at the German Cultural Society in St. Louis (3652 South Jefferson). Eight rounds of 80’s-themed trivia begin at 7 pm.

Admission is $20, which includes complimentary soda, wine and beer. A 50/50 drawing, a silent auction and other fun games will be held.

This is one of our most-popular functions annually and the opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie alongside the best beverage selection during Mardi Gras weekend is a plus. Also, one can assemble a costumed-theme table and receive bonus points.

This weekend is shaping up to be a monumental one for the League! We’ll keep you updated but you should come along for the ride to  stay in the loop!
