ARCH B & C Teams Face Chicago Outfit At Home Saturday!

Arch Rival Roller Derby returns to Midwest Sport Hockey this Saturday for flat-track fracases featuring a pair of the League’s developmental travel squads.

At the event that launches at 6:30 p.m., ARCH welcomes teams from Chicago Outfit Roller Derby. In the opener, Arch Rival’s Saint Lunachix “B” team tangles with the Outfit’s “A” team, the Syndicate. That contest is followed by ARCH’s “C” team, the Fleur De Linquents, battling the Outfit’s “B” team, the Shade Brigade.

Both tussles at the ARCH’s Ballwin, Missouri home base (570 Weidman Road) are expected to be extremely-competitive. Tickets at the door are $12 while children 10 and under get in free. Save $2 per ticket by this Friday by purchasing them online in advance. GO TO THIS LINK.

The Saint Lunachix (0-2) aim for their first victory of the season after their performance at the Udder Chaos Invitational in Madison last month. The team played well in setbacks to Ann Arbor (232-204) and Madison (232-130) and plan on getting a topper over the Illinois A-team (2-4) that is currently ranked #124 by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

“Of course, we want to put together a solid win for the home crowd, but we also really hope to see growth and improvement from how we performed in Madison,” said Lunachix bench coach Gil Tiemann. “We have had time to work on our chemistry and tighten up our strategy since our first games, so seeing that reflected on the track is very important.”

Jamming is expected to be paced by Ultraviolet, The Jukes on You, Aggie Wartooth, Flash and Jedi Knight-N-Gale. Blocking will be anchored by Rock Slobster, Jenforcer, Cruella Belle-ville, Trigger Happy Jackie, SheKill O’ Neal, Birdsong, Nox, Joan of Spark, Pixie Dust-Ruction and Splatter.

Meanwhile in the nightcap,  the undefeated Fleur De Linquents (1-0) look to keep their record spotless against the equally-unblemished Shade Brigade (4-0). The FDLs topped Western Kentucky (215-176) at Midwest Sport Hockey last month and plan on using that momentum this Saturday in order to gain another victory.

“We are looking forward to an exciting and hopefully a close game!” said FDL captain Sinister Minister. “We have some new faces to our mix and are excited to keep playing together, honing our strategy, and show our home fans some love before we take the road for the summer!”

Alongside the holy roller, jamming will be paced by Holliver Fist, Blink, Warpath O’ Jen and Leggs Benedict, a transfer from Rolla (MO) Rockets who will be making her ARCH debut. Blocking is provided by Girl Fawkes, Lethal Dose, Super Mari Oh-No!, Snotface, Spock N’ Roll, QuickSandz, Ginger and Boomeryang.

We’ll see you Saturday night for a super summer sizzler and, with good fortune,  a pair of wins!
