With Road Win, ARCH’s C-Team Ends Season 3-1

(MARION, IL) Arch Rival Roller Derby’s traveling C-team, the Fleur-De-Linquents, capped off a successful season with a 235-190 road victory over the primary squad of the Southern Illinois Roller Girls at The Pavilion Saturday night.

The 45-point win by the FDLs resulted in the team’s final 2017 record of 3-1.

Trailing 41-29 with 13:00 left in the first half, ARCH went on a 17-4 rally over the next couple of rotations and flipped the scoreboard to their favor, 46-45, as the period progressed.

By gaining leads and collecting point-producing jams, the FDLs extended their lead to 99-64 at the period’s two-minute warning.

Southern Illinois (2-2) snared 19 points down the stretch and narrowed the score to 99-85 at intermission.

The FDLs worked quickly in the second period and produced a 22-5 rally to pace the frame and an 121-90 advantage.

The methodical workload continued as the half progressed as ARCH widened its lead to 193-122 with under thirteen minutes left in the game.

The FDLs outscored Southern Illinois 136-105 in the second period to pick up the 235-190 victory and a plus-2 in the win column on their ledger.
