ARCH Travel Teams Host Games This Weekend

If you are a fan of Arch Rival Roller Derby’s travel teams, you’ll have a pair of opportunities to support them this weekend at a pair of hosted flat-track games.

This Saturday night, ARCH’s b-team, the Saint Lunachix, host the Minnesota Nice at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin, Missouri (510 Weidman Rd.) The two-game evening that also features GateKeepers Roller Derby’s team, the B-Keepers, facing the Race City Rebels starts at 6:30 pm.

The Lunachix (1-2) traveled to the Volunteer State in June and collected a 275-102 victory over the Music City All Stars of the Nashville Rollergirls, current ranked #98 internationally by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Sporting a 123-50 lead at intermission, the Chix proceeded to outscore NRG 102-52 in the second period to pick up their first win of the season.

Scheduled for the Lunachix line-up Saturday are the following skaters: Fletcher, Cruella Belleville, Cupquake, Pegasass, Jenforcer, Nox, She’Kill O’Neal, Ginger Assassin, Sue Bob Fight, Rock Slobster, Psychokid D. Freakout, Reptar, Ultraviolet, Flash, Birdsong and Aggie Wartooth.

The Minnesota Nice is 7-1 heading into Saturday’s game.

Tickets for the doubleheader are $10 while children 10 and under are free.

Then on Sunday morning, the ARCH All-Stars, currently ranked eighth internationally by the WFTDA, hosts #28 Windy City at the Skatium in South St. Louis (120 East Catalan). First whistle for the non-sanctioned fundraiser is at 11:30 am and a donation of $5 is suggested.

ARCH (2-4) recently received the third seed at the upcoming WFTDA playoff round held in Dallas, Texas, September 22-24.

Scheduled for the All-Stars’ line-up Sunday are the following skaters: Party Foul,  Shear-Ra Powers, Smarty McFly, Psychokid D Freakout, Bolt Action, Cloak N’ Drag-her, Pegasass, CupQuake, Fletcher, Shimmy Hoffa, Bricktator, Salty, Swanson and Harmony Killerbruise.

Windy City is 5-2 on the season and has won three straight.
