On Monday, the Arch Rival Roller Derby All-Stars revealed the 2017 travel team charter that will compete within the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
ARCH, currently ranked #8 internationally by the WFTDA, finished 12-2 last season and won its first-ever game at the WFTDA International Championships last November. This year’s 20-skater charter features 17 athletes that were a part of the 2016 collective that set new benchmarks in global play.
“It was evident at tryouts that Arch Rival as a league is getting better and better,” assessed ARCH All-Star Captain Bricktator. “Our charter represents the best in the league.”

Swanson was awarded Most Valuable Player at the 2016 WFTDA Division 1 playoff round held in Madison, Wisconsin last September. Bricktator has four prior WFTDA International Champs starts logged while Killerbruise has three. A majority of the other members competed at ARCH’s back-to-back WFTDA Champs appearances in 2015 and 2016.
New additions to the All-Star charter include blocker Rhino, a former All-Star that competed at ARCH’s inaugural WFTDA Champs appearance in 2015, blocker Cruella Belle-ville, who competed for ARCH’s Saint Lunachix during the squad’s post-season push at the 2016 WFTDA B-team Championships and blocker Nox, a 2016 ARCH transfer that formally skated with the CoMo Derby Dames.
The squad begins its campaign May 5-7 at the Big O Invitational in Eugene, Oregon and then hosts the second annual Sibling Rivalry invitational at Midwest Sport Hockey June 23-25.
“The 2017 ARCH All Stars are set up to have another fantastic season,” projected Bricktator.
ARCH continues its three-team interleague season on Saturday, March 11 as the Smashinistas battle the M-80s. Tickets are available by going to THIS LINK.
